The day I matriculated at the Royal Collage of Art I received an ID card, printed with my student number 210037. I had become a stakeholder in the institution and therefore had an interest in its workings, its history, its future and present.
My degree project, Stakeholder 210047, uses practice based research to explore the Royal College of Art archives and collections alongside observations of the community and wider society. The outcomes from the project are a series of playful recontextualizations of the archival collection that draws on various cultural, social and political influences. This representing encourages us to question the what we are stakeholders in. They do not present solutions but provide a platform for discussion.
