This necklace was inspired by a period of house sitting I did in a traditional 16th century farm house. Living in someone else’s house without them there but surrounded by their belongings was a strange experience. I became perceptive to the function, aesthetics and memories each room had and how they told the story of each of the houses inhabitants. I chose the bathroom as it is a particularly private room and used an assortment of materials that conveyed the aura of cleanliness, fragrance, privacy and femininity.
